The Story of The Symbol

This symbol has been widely used in Anatolia, and is a meaningful motif that is especially seen on rugs. Anatolian people adopted this motif as a protective symbol that would ward off evil eyes, insects and snakes. 

In addition to its power to ward off the evil eye, it has also been used as a symbol of abundance and prosperity. 

This symbol also appears in plain weavings under the name "Valknuten", which means war knot in Norway.

Using and Care

It can be machine washed on a gentle cycle or by hand. It can be ironed at low heat. It should be hung to dry in the shade. Bleach should not be used.
