This symbol is a meaningful motif that was widely used in Anatolia, especially on rugs. The people of Anatolia have adopted this motif as a protective symbol that will drive away evil eyes, insects and snakes.
In addition to the power to ward off evil eyes, it has also been used as a symbol of abundance and fertility.
This symbol also appears in plain weavings with the name “Valknuten”, which means knot of war in Norway.

Using and Care
It can be machine washed on a gentle cycle or by hand. It can be ironed at low heat. It should be hung to dry in the shade. Bleach should not be used.
